            The city of Atlanta, Georgia is considered to be the “poster child” for cities experiencing the ‘urban sprawl’, the economical development, and growth. There are many tourist attractions, places to stay, colleges, sports, and things to do.

            Atlanta offers many tourist attractions and tours. Tourist attractions include the Centennial Olympic Park, the World of Coca-Cola, the King Center, Underground Atlanta, the CNN Center, and the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Other tourist attractions include Stone Mountain Park, the Margaret Mitchell House, the Georgia Aquarium, and Turner Field.

            There are a variety of tours offered in Atlanta. These include the CNN Studio Tour, Bus and train tours, History tours, Gone With the Wind tours, Segway tours, and Ghost tours. Other tours offered include Atlanta City tours and Museum tours.

            There are a lot of colleges in Atlanta if you are planning on attending school there. These include Argosy University, Bauder College, Everest Institute, the Atlanta College of Art, Atlanta Metropolitan College, and Atlanta Technical College. Other colleges include Herzing College, John Marshall Law School, Georgia State University, Morris Brown College, and Emory University.

            Georgia hosts many major sports teams. The Atlanta Falcons belong to the NFL. The Atlanta Hawks belong to the NBA. The Atlanta Thrashers belong to the NHL. Georgia also hosts many college teams, such as the Augusta Green Jackets, the Augusta Lynx, the Columbus Redstixx, the Macon Whoopee, and the Savannah Sandgnats.

            Georgia has many major industries, such as the Paper Industry, which produces a variety of chemicals that enhance the quality of paper. Another large industry in Georgia is the Textile Industry, which has been Georgia’s leading industry for many years. The Automobile Industry is also big in Georgia. However, the Lumber Industry seems to be the largest, since the state is largely forested by pine.
